Cody Rhodes Is Interested In Hollywood Gigs, Drew McIntyre On Working With Larger Men

Cody Rhodes has already secured a part in the forthcoming reimagining of The Naked Gun, and he’s got his sights set on further inroads into Hollywood.

In a recent episode of Pardon My Take, Rhodes suggested that he might follow the path laid by his fellow wrestling professionals like John Cena and The Rock who have transitioned into acting. His words were,

“I’m excited about some upcoming projects. I definitely want to venture into storytelling through acting and keep on expanding my horizons. My passion for pro wrestling is undying, but I also admire what The Rock, John Cena, and Dave Batista have achieved in Hollywood. Each of them has a unique Hollywood journey, and I feel I could be the next to embark on that journey.”

In a recent appearance on the “Wafflin'” podcast, Drew McIntyre shared his experiences of squaring off against some of the biggest names in wrestling, including Brock Lesnar. His comments were,

No, but that’s what you tell yourself. However, against certain guys like Brock Lesnar, it feels like you’re wrestling a shaved gorilla, someone who could annihilate anyone on Earth, except for a few. I’ve been in the ring with individuals who I thought could easily overpower me if they wanted. An example would be Mark Henry, who actually holds the title of the world’s strongest man on paper. It’s daunting when he lifts me with just a flick of his wrist. I had a similar experience with The Big Show when I was younger. I was stunned by how effortlessly he could control me on the mat. But what’s scary about someone like Brock Lesnar is that he’s faster, stronger, and more technically skilled than most. There are only a few in the world who can realistically take him down.”
