Appearing recently on the “Gabby AF” podcast, Cody Rhodes relayed his desire for WWE to schedule a pay-per-view event in Italy, following the live event held in Bologna in May.
Rhodes shared, “I earnestly hope that Italy lands a WWE pay-per-view. We performed a live show in Italy, and it was phenomenal. If onlookers experienced Scotland, Scotland was exceptional. If spectators watched France, France was extraordinary. I wish audiences could have witnessed Italy’s atmosphere. I was unaware of the welcoming we were stepping into. I was uncertain whether we were even broadcasted on Italian television. It’d be an ideal location for a PPV. Though I have no final word and can’t implement anything, it was an unforgettable experience.”
In more recent event news, Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Solo Sikoa at the SummerSlam 2024 event this past weekend.
