During the most recent WWE SmackDown episode, Universal Champion Cody Rhodes went above and beyond to make a courageous fan’s day truly special once filming finished.
Following the end of the televised portion of WWE SmackDown, a special match took place, commonly known as a ‘dark match’. Here, Cody Rhodes, the current Undisputed WWE Champion successfully defended his title in what was called the Columbia Street Fight, his competitor being Solo Sikoa.
In the wake of his victorious match, Rhodes took time to interact with the audience. Noticing a fan’s banner, he gave her a memorable souvenir by presenting her his signature weight belt.
He said, “There’s a sign over here that says ‘Adrenaline in my soul, I beat cancer to see Cody Rhodes.’ I hope you don’t mind I’m going to come out and give this to you, alright?”
During the same weekly episode of WWE SmackDown, Rhodes took the opportunity to discuss his imminent Crown Jewel Championship match against GUNTHER, scheduled to occur at the WWE Crown Jewel event next month.
Extending an invitation to the World Heavyweight Champion for the forthcoming SmackDown, Rhodes anticipates a face-to-face interaction before their highly anticipated match in Riyadh.
