On a recent episode of “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Cody Rhodes, the reigning WWE Universal Champion, shared memories of reconnecting with wrestling compatriot Triple H before making his WWE comeback.
Listeners can explore more detailed points from the podcast further down:
Regarding his interaction with Triple H, Rhodes said, “Our reconnection happened in Dallas just before my return. As everyone was boarding the bus, he was the last one to come. Our interaction was quite concise, but I can’t overstate its significance. We didn’t get into any of our past issues, and haven’t till date.”
Speaking about losing direction in his career during his stint away from WWE, Rhodes noted, “My time away from WWE and my period at AEW submerged me in so much information and responsibilities of being both an office personnel/wrestler, careening from one role to another and especially being a promoter, that my internal compass spiralled out of control. I lost touch with what was good or bad. Particularly Triple H, and of course Bruce [Prichard] – they turned out to be my saving graces.”
