Cody Rhodes Discusses the Conclusion of His Story and The Rock’s WrestleMania 40 Training

During a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” podcast, Cody Rhodes commented on finishing his story at WrestleMania 40 this weekend and why he’s ready to go to the ‘end zone’. He said,

“There’s that saying when you enter any sports, entertainment, ‘Hey, act like you’ve been there before.’ I haven’t and that’s the whole point of getting there and getting it done, because I want to know for the first time what that feels like. The story about Dusty Rhodes in 1978 and holding that title — I have that title with me. Holding that title and it being taken away because of how he won the match, that’s all very much what we talk about when we talk about finishing the story. Instead of it ending, instead of the story being finished … We start a whole new damn story Monday night after WrestleMania.“

In a recent appearance on “The Will Cain Show,” The Rock commented on his full training camp for Saturday night’s WrestleMania 40 (Night One) main event. He said,

“The training has kicked my a** for weeks now. I went into a full training camp for about six [weeks], this is my final week. Obviously, we have WrestleMania in a day or two and the training camp has been tough, there is nothing that you can do to prepare your body to be suplexed and slammed and thrown around in that ring, nothing. You know I’m no spring chicken; I’m a summer rooster, I’m no spring chicken, so I’ve had some great guys who have been helping me throughout my training camp. So it’s a combination of will, of training hard, getting my cardio right, getting my oxygen right, I have to control my breathing in this match. We could go — without giving too much away — we could go an hour.“

As WrestleMania 40 approaches, two prominent wrestlers, Cody Rhodes and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, have shared their thoughts on the upcoming event and their preparations for their respective matches. Both athletes are determined to make a lasting impact and create memorable moments in the wrestling world.

Cody Rhodes, in an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” podcast, expressed his excitement about finishing his story at WrestleMania 40. He mentioned the saying, “Act like you’ve been there before,” but admitted that he hasn’t experienced that feeling yet. Rhodes wants to know what it’s like to achieve success at WrestleMania for the first time. He also referenced his father, Dusty Rhodes, and the significance of holding a title and having it taken away due to controversial circumstances. Rhodes emphasized that instead of the story ending at WrestleMania, a new chapter will begin on Monday night after the event.

On the other hand, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared on “The Will Cain Show” and discussed his intense training camp leading up to his main event match at WrestleMania 40 (Night One). The Rock revealed that he had been training rigorously for six weeks and described the challenges of preparing his body for the physical demands of wrestling. Despite being no longer in his prime, The Rock acknowledged the assistance he received from his training partners and highlighted the importance of willpower, cardio, and controlled breathing during the match. He even hinted that their match could potentially last an hour.

Both Cody Rhodes and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s comments showcase their dedication and determination to deliver an unforgettable performance at WrestleMania 40. As fans eagerly anticipate this highly anticipated event, these wrestlers are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations.
