During his recent stint on the “Gabby AF” podcast, Cody Rhodes discussed about the attitudes of the newbies in WWE towards their respective jobs.

WWE has been introducing new talents through its NIL program in recent years. Prominent names from this initiative include Bron Breakker, Tiffany Stratton, and many more.

Rhodes expressed, “I am fond of the athletes we bring onboard as they are occasionally the ones who are just dedicated to their job. They embrace an athletic mentality of, ‘I have to put in all the effort.’ You can clearly see this in Tiffany Stratton. She transitioned from a gymnast to a sports entertainer seamlessly. You can tell that it runs in her veins, she has the desire. I hope this continues to happen. Take Jacob (Henry), for instance, he’s an extraordinary athlete. If he continues to pursue this, it will be greatly beneficial for the wrestling industry.”

He further opined, “All of us can perform a superkick, but not everyone can squat 600 pounds and lift the Big Show over their heads like John Cena used to do. I’m holding Jacob accountable as he progresses. It’s commendable to have athletes at that standard. While I appreciate having artistic minds amongst us, I also equally respect the blend of pure, authentic athletes as well.”

Prior to WWE SummerSlam 2024, on the “Angle Podcast”, Bayley, former WWE Women’s Champion, unveiled that reclaiming the belt was never her ambition when she reappeared on WWE TV with Damage CTRL. Her exact words were,

“No, it was never my objective. The actual goal was for IYO SKY to become the champion. The goal was for Dakota Kai to become the champion. Strangely enough, when I was making the proposal, I did mention in the videos and wrote prompts stating, ‘I’m not here for the championships. I have achieved all those accolades. I’m totally indifferent towards those accomplishments. My purpose here is to ensure that they experience their WrestleMania moments, their Summer Slam moments, to become champions.’”

She went on to say, “Fortunately, we achieved that, and this was sort of an unexpected part which was their failure. If they hadn’t turned on me, IYO would still be a champion, but here we are now.”
