In a recent episode of the “2 Bears, 1 Cave” podcast, famous professional wrestler Cody Rhodes had some commendable words to say about Chelsea Green. He appreciated her attitude towards making the best use of her TV appearances.
During the same podcast, Rhodes shared some criticisms regarding the current generation of wrestlers. He claimed they lacked the same ambitious mindset Green and he himself possess.
Here are a few standout moments from the podcast:
Talking about Chelsea Green, Rhodes said, “When it comes to WWE, one name to note is Chelsea Green. She recently claimed victory in the inaugural WWE Women’s US Title. Whatever task she is given, she puts her everything into it. In contrast, it appears that the upcoming generation doesn’t share this mindset. Maybe I’m wrong here or this might just be an old generation perspective, but I don’t sense that same ambition in them. I’ve always approached everything with the aim of achieving the maximum possible.”
Rhodes then shared an incident about someone questioning his big dreams: “During my hiatus from WWE, I met a guy who was running his own wrestling promotion. I remember him questioning me and my wife in the car, ‘Why do people dream so big?’ In my heart, I was having a tacit conversation with Brandi (Rhodes). I was like, ‘This guy doesn’t make sense.’ Why wouldn’t we nurture big dreams? It may not guarantee success, but I’d rather aim for the stars and see how far I get.”
