In a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show”, professional wrestler, Cody Rhodes revealed that he had attended his high school reunion without his WWE Championship. Rhodes acknowledged that he broke a key principle in professional wrestling by not bringing along his championship belt. “There are some fundamental rules in sports entertainment, professional wrestling, and that particular evening, I breached one of them. Always bring the belt. For some reason, I didn’t. It was also a bit of a date night with my wife and we’ve been together for 11 years. As it turned out, I was really disappointed in myself for not bringing it,” Rhodes expressed.
Elsewhere, on the “Noticias 24” podcast, Stephanie Vaquer discussed her motivation behind signing up with WWE. She noted she had another attractive proposal on the table prior her decision to become part of the WWE. Although she withheld details about what the offer was all about, some speculate that AEW had demonstrated interest in her.
Vaquer explained, “I won’t beat around the bush. Since I was a little kid, my dream was always to sign with WWE. However, you grow up and realize you can’t always follow the dreams you had when you were 9. Having lived my dream in Mexico and Japan, I craved something more than just money. I did have another financially substantial offer but to be a complete wrestler, I needed to be in WWE. That’s why I joined NXT, it has the top-notch women’s division.”
