The AEW TNT Championship was on the line tonight as Cody Rhodes faced off against Orange Cassidy in a lumberjack match. The stipulation was added to prevent the Dark Order from interfering and the bout was a rematch as the two had previously wrestled to a draw.

Surprisingly, Orange Cassidy started the match off quickly and showed a fieriness to him rather than his usual lackadaisical attitude. While that caught the champion off guard, Rhodes worked his way back into the match and both wrestlers had more urgency than in their initial bout. Cassidy would hit a diving DDT and nearly won the title, but Rhodes showed heart and kicked out.
Despite the Lumberjack Match stipulation, the Dark Order managed to interfere and attack Cassidy. Rhodes would then hit a Cross Rhodes for the victory.
