DDP believes that Cody Rhodes is the ideal candidate to represent WWE. After winning the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, it appeared that he was on track for a potential rematch with Roman Reigns, but plans changed with The Rock taking Rhodes’ spot.

In a conversation with Bill Apter, DDP shared his thoughts on Cody’s victory in the Royal Rumble.

“I don’t think, because we all know there’s been a little adversity, there’s a little dark cloud right now. I don’t know what happened there, I wasn’t there. I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what I do know. When you have anything like that happen, who are you looking at now to represent the company? I don’t think there’s a better person that can represent the company. Family values, work ethic is insane, all of his belts say ‘do the work.’ That’s what that they say on them. If doesn’t say ‘American Nightmare’, somewhere he’s written on it ‘Do The Work.’ It’s all about that. He wrestled with a torn pec and went 20 minutes with one of the greatest wrestlers ever, Seth Rollins, and made it through and came back from that injury. To get this spot, I can’t think of a better person in their company that I’d want to see. Taking nothing away from Roman Reigns because he has proved to be a demigod, and he really has. I watched him from The Shield on. He actually did DDP Yoga when he was playing for Georgia Tech, so that’s the first time I ever met Roman because I was working with the team. But this guy, he’s a demigod. He’s in the same vein of Hogan now and of course Austin and The Rock, all of it. But I just can’t see a better person, especially at this time, to represent the WWE,” DDP said.

Former professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) believes that Cody Rhodes is the ideal candidate to represent WWE. Rhodes, who won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, was initially on track for a potential rematch with Roman Reigns. However, plans changed when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took Rhodes’ spot.

In a conversation with Bill Apter, DDP shared his thoughts on Rhodes’ victory in the Royal Rumble. Despite the recent adversity surrounding WWE, DDP believes that Rhodes is the perfect person to represent the company. He praises Rhodes for his family values and insane work ethic, highlighting that all of his belts say “do the work.” DDP also mentions Rhodes’ ability to wrestle with a torn pec and go 20 minutes with Seth Rollins, one of the greatest wrestlers ever. Rhodes’ determination and resilience in overcoming injuries make him a standout candidate.

DDP acknowledges Roman Reigns’ accomplishments and describes him as a demigod in the wrestling world. He recalls meeting Reigns during his time at Georgia Tech when he was working with the team. However, DDP still believes that Rhodes is the better choice to represent WWE, especially given the current circumstances.

The former wrestler emphasizes the importance of having a representative who embodies the values and work ethic that WWE stands for. Rhodes’ commitment to “doing the work” aligns perfectly with the company’s ethos. DDP sees Rhodes as a symbol of perseverance and dedication, making him an excellent choice to carry the WWE banner.

The video embedded in the article features DDP discussing his views on Rhodes’ potential to help WWE overcome its current challenges. The interview provides further insight into DDP’s perspective and highlights his admiration for Rhodes.

In conclusion, DDP firmly believes that Cody Rhodes is the ideal candidate to represent WWE. With his family values, incredible work ethic, and ability to overcome adversity, Rhodes embodies the qualities that WWE stands for. While Roman Reigns is undoubtedly a formidable competitor, DDP sees Rhodes as the better choice, especially in the current climate. As WWE moves forward, Rhodes has the potential to become a significant figure in the company and help it overcome any obstacles it may face.
