Here’s WrestleZone’s Robert DeFelice’s recap of Cody vs. Wardlow last night:

The first portion of the match saw Wardlow take control with his power. Cody would get slammed into the cage leading to our final commercial break.

Back from break, Cody is busted wide open and is doing his best to breakdown the big man who just won’t fall yet. As we go along, Cody would be thrown into the door of the cage with it flinging wide open, and Arn Anderson standing in front of him. Maxwell Jacob Friedman would try to entice Anderson to hit Kodi with the cage door but instead of Arn would swing it back and it would hit Maxwell. Max would then try to climb into the cage good Brandy would stop him.

Cody would get the victory with an insane moonsault off the top of the cage. Finally, Cody is officially facing Maxwell Jacob Friedman at AEW Revolution in Chicago.
