DDP believes that Cody Rhodes is the ideal candidate to represent WWE. After winning the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, it appeared that he was on track for a potential rematch with Roman Reigns, but plans changed with The Rock taking Rhodes’ spot.

In a conversation with Bill Apter, DDP shared his thoughts on Cody’s victory in the Royal Rumble.

“I don’t think, because we all know there’s been a little adversity, there’s a little dark cloud right now. I don’t know what happened there, I wasn’t there. I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what I do know. When you have anything like that happen, who are you looking at now to represent the company? I don’t think there’s a better person that can represent the company. Family values, work ethic is insane, all of his belts say ‘do the work.’ That’s what that they say on them. If doesn’t say ‘American Nightmare’, somewhere he’s written on it ‘Do The Work.’ It’s all about that. He wrestled with a torn pec and went 20 minutes with one of the greatest wrestlers ever, Seth Rollins, and made it through and came back from that injury. To get this spot, I can’t think of a better person in their company that I’d want to see. Taking nothing away from Roman Reigns because he has proved to be a demigod, and he really has. I watched him from The Shield on. He actually did DDP Yoga when he was playing for Georgia Tech, so that’s the first time I ever met Roman because I was working with the team. But this guy, he’s a demigod. He’s in the same vein of Hogan now and of course Austin and The Rock, all of it. But I just can’t see a better person, especially at this time, to represent the WWE,” DDP said.

Former professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) believes that Cody Rhodes is the perfect candidate to represent WWE. After winning the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, Rhodes seemed poised for a potential rematch with Roman Reigns. However, plans changed when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took Rhodes’ spot.

In a conversation with Bill Apter, DDP expressed his thoughts on Rhodes’ victory in the Royal Rumble. Despite the recent adversity surrounding Rhodes, DDP sees him as the ideal person to represent the company. He highlighted Rhodes’ strong family values and insane work ethic, which are evident in his wrestling career.

DDP pointed out that Rhodes wrestled with a torn pectoral muscle and managed to go 20 minutes with Seth Rollins, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Rhodes not only endured the injury but also made a successful comeback from it. DDP emphasized that Rhodes’ dedication to “doing the work” is evident in all of his championship belts.

While acknowledging Roman Reigns’ accomplishments and status as a demigod in the wrestling industry, DDP still believes that Rhodes is the best choice to represent WWE, especially during this challenging time. He compared Reigns to legendary wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock. However, DDP sees Rhodes as the standout candidate due to his exceptional qualities and resilience.

DDP’s endorsement of Rhodes as WWE’s representative carries weight, given his own successful career in professional wrestling. Additionally, DDP shared a personal connection with Reigns, as he worked with the Georgia Tech football team where Reigns was a player. This connection further solidifies DDP’s perspective on Rhodes’ suitability for the role.

In conclusion, DDP believes that Cody Rhodes is the ideal candidate to represent WWE. Despite recent setbacks and changes in plans, DDP sees Rhodes’ family values, work ethic, and ability to overcome adversity as qualities that make him the perfect choice. While acknowledging Reigns’ accomplishments, DDP believes that Rhodes is the best person to represent WWE, especially during challenging times.
