“Didn’t get the chance to speak on it last week, but I just wanted to say how proud I was of Dusty’s documentary. Very few things in my career have ever been as important to me as being the Executive Producer and shepherding this story w/Rob Liano & @aetv – special thanks to Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, Bruce P, Marc Pomarico and ALL the team/participants on the project. To watch check the link in my story or get the A&E app.”

In a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Big E revealed the details of his new role as the home emcee for the Michigan Panthers.

Big E addressed his football roots and spoke about how the new gig provides him an opportunity to promote both his love of football and wrestling.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On how the emcee job takes him back to his foundations: “Football was my first love. Obviously everything that I have that’s good in life is because of wrestling, I can’t tell you how much I love wrestling, my time in WWE, but the first thing I loved as a kid was football, so that is something near and dear to me.”

On the potential he gains from the emcee gig: “I’ve been out with this neck injury but I still feel great. And it felt like this was the perfect opportunity to both promote Fox’s USFL and the Michigan Panthers, in particular, and, of course, WWE SummerSlam.”
