Cody Deaner, a regular face in TNA Wrestling, is open to the possibility of making a WWE NXT debut as part of the ongoing cross-promotion initiative. Unlike previous times, WWE and TNA are now allowing talents to participate in events of both organizations.
Deaner spoke about the possible crossover in a recent episode of the “Reel Appreciation” podcast. When asked about his potential appearance on WWE’s gold brand, he responded,
“Alright, everything’s up for grabs. I understand that it’s quite common to say never rule anything out and stimulate these wrestler platitudes. Honestly, in full earnestness, I haven’t been solicited. Yet, considering the current state of the wrestling industry, given how fruitful the relationship is at present between TNA and NXT, I wouldn’t be taken aback if, during a TNA taping, I was approached with a proposition or a query. At this stage, regarding this crossover, nothing would stun me, given how smoothly it’s progressing.”
Deaner also mentioned that, like their fans, even the wrestlers are in the dark about future developments. He likened the scenario to the talent exchange between NWA and AWA back in the day.
During the TNA Slammiversary 2024, NXT’s Wes Lee along with his teammates in The Rascalz defeated the NXT’s No Quarter Catch Crew.
Several performers, including Joe Hendry, Jordynne Grace, and Frankie Kazarian, have entered the NXT, while TNA has seen challengers such as Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley vie for the Knockouts World Title.
Embedded here is a video of Cody Deaner speaking on his WWE and TNA collaboration, sharing thoughts on Joe Hendry, and reminiscing wrestling bouts with Kurt Angle.
