After CM Punk came to the aid of Roman Reigns during WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 at Paul Heyman’s behest, there has been impending speculation about a favour Punk would redeem in return.
This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown finally unveiled what that return favor would entail.
It has been officially announced that Punk will finally realize his dream to participate as the headliner in WrestleMania, pitted in the main event on Saturday, April 19th against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. And to fulfil another dream associated with this main event, Punk, also known as Chicago’s Second Son, demands Paul Heyman to stand by his corner.
Early within the show, Heyman openly declared his readiness to uphold any favor. He further affirmed his intention to be present in Punk’s corner, much to the surprise and disapproval of The Tribal Chief, who under the impression that Heyman would refuse the proposition.
This adds an unexpected twist to the Triple Threat match scheduled for Saturday night’s climax and also to the bond between Roman Reigns and his Advisor, leading to a potential split after several years of alliance since Roman’s comeback in 2020.
Roman Reigns: “He loves me, he needs me, I saved him. Even if I let him, he wouldn’t! Wiseman, let this desperate fool down easy, would ya? …TELL HIM NO!”
Paul Heyman: “No my Tribal Chief I can’t do that!”
OH SHIT
