CM Punk To Face Off Against Eddie Kingston At AEW Full Gear

CM Punk and Eddie Kingston have been feuding for a couple of weeks now, and tonight at AEW Rampage, things came to a head, with the two finalizing a match at next weekend’s AEW Full Gear.

CM Punk and Eddie Kingston met in the ring for a face-to-face confrontation after weeks of back-and-forth arguing. In the ring first, Punk quickly demanded Kingston come out and apologize to him for what happened last week. Kingston’s music then hit, but no on came down and the music eventually faded. Punk then said that since Kingston wasn’t around on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, he might be skipping out once again, but that he’d keep talking in the hopes Kingston will just interrupt him.

At that point, that’s exactly what happened, as Kingston finally came down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. He explained that he’s different from Punk, and didn’t have to stab others in the back like Punk did to get where he was. Kingston then name dropped a ton of superstars, including Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson, saying he was judged by everyone back in the day.

Punk said that they were right to judge him, as he was nothing but a “bum” back in the day. Clearly enraged, Kingston then challenged Punk to a match at AEW Full Gear, to which Punk eventually accepted. Before they left the ring, though, Kingston said that when he beats him next weekend, Punk should lave AEW and “go away for another seven years” again.

This clearly hit Punk, as “The Best in the World” gave Kingston a headbutt and the two began to brawl, with security eventually coming down to the ring and clearing them out.

Also announced during tonight’s AEW Rampage was a Falls Count Anywhere, six-man tag team match between Superkliq and Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Christian Cage
