In a recent episode of the “No Contest Wrestling” podcast, wrestling legend CM Punk shared his pain about the untimely deaths of prominent wrestlers Bray Wyatt and Brodie Lee. His words still carry deep feelings of loss and bewilderment.
During his talk, Punk mentioned, “I feel wrestling is notorious for that, right? Like, we are constantly losing wrestlers and it always seems to be way too early … When Bray passed away… Brodie — otherwise known as Luke Harper — when he passed, I recall distinctly where I was, when I was informed, and I remember the shock that overcame me where you’re just like, ‘Oh?’ It’s the type of news that makes you sit down and just process, ‘What? He was so young…’”
He continued on the subject by expressing, “Bray and Brodie were two of the hardest to deal with because they were so young, and they had young children, and it’s just one of those situations that it just creates a lasting sorrow. Discussing it even now, it still hurts, and it just feels like injustice.”
Brodie Lee left us in December of 2020, whereas Bray Wyatt’s demise came more recently in August of 2023.
