CM Punk shared his experience and emotions on his Instagram Stories about wrestling at the Allstate Arena in Chicago after a gap of over ten years.
Punk competed against WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER in a Steel Cage match at Sunday’s live event. Punk said in his post,
“New York, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Chicago. My sincere thanks to everyone who bought tickets to come see us. As for Chicago, what can I say? My love for you is boundless. It’s been over a decade since I had the chance to wrestle in what I’ll always fondly refer to as the Rosemont Horizon. It’s an honor for me. Two million dollar houses, and we’re on our route to a third in Houston. I am immensely proud of everyone on our team for their hard work and dedication that made all of this possible, except for little Dominik Mysterio who’s the slippery jerk. – Chicago Made Punk.”
GUNTHER remained the champion after the match due to an unfair intervention from Dominik Mysterio.
Sports Business Journal has announced that the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW in Houston, Texas has sold out its tickets.
This show will serve as the final broadcast on the USA Network prior to its shift to Netflix the following week. The anticipation for tonight’s episode has generated a seven-figure revenue at the gate.
