CM Punk has reigned as AEW World Champion for close to a year, according to the AEW star who has deemed himself the “real Worlds Champion.”
Punk captured his second AEW World Championship at All Out 2022 last September but was stripped of the gold due to the controversy surrounding the event.
On AEW Collision, Punk shared a segment with Ricky Starks, who defeated Punk in the Owen Hart Tournament Men’s finals on last week’s episode of Collision.
Referencing the AEW World Championship Punk has carried with him since his return to AEW, Punk asked Starks if he wants a shot at the gold or if he’s just like “little Max” and doesn’t want him to have it.
Punk also referred to himself as the “real Worlds Champion,” in another shot at MJF’s World Championship reign that began at Full Gear last year.
Words between Ricky Starks & CM Punk went from civil to heated real quick.
