CM Punk hints at forming a partnership with John Cena in the coming year.
In a surprise twist at the 2024 edition of WWE’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view event, wrestling icon John Cena made an unexpected comeback only to announce his imminent departure from pro wrestling in 2025.

Cena, in his announcement, threw in a tease, indicating plans to wrestle in nearly 30-40 matches the following year as part of his departure tour.

At an event during the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con titled “Mattel WWE,” fellow wrestler CM Punk expressed intrigued about the idea of partnering up with Cena for his farewell tour the next year.

During a panel discussion and after giving a shout-out to his dog, Larry, Punk hinted at a possible collaboration with Cena. He stated,

“Assuming I had to join forces with somebody to take some opponents down, Larry would be my top choice. However, since Cena has announced his retirement, fans are keen to see us go against each other. But the thought of Cena and I as allies might make for an interesting twist.”

CM Punk intriguingly compared his on-screen chemistry with John Cena to the iconic duo of Batman and Superman.
