CM Punk is rumored to be in discussions about adjusting his existing contract with WWE, subsequent to his comeback to the franchise during Survivor Series last November.
When wrestling expert Ibou from WrestlePurists was probed about the length of Punk’s agreement, it was mentioned that the one-time AEW & WWE World Champion is on a three-year agreement.
“At present, he is endeavoring to renegotiate his contract in terms of financial compensation and duration.”
Ibou explained further that the wrestler’s perspective is to stay indefinitely with WWE if all goes according to plan. Ibou noted that Punk has been employing the term “permanently.”
It’s also been revealed that as Punk’s wrestling career starts to taper off, his aspiration is to shift into a role within NXT, where he’s already been offering guidance since his re-entry into WWE.
After roughly ten years away, Punk made his way back to WWE last November and has since been involved in a rivalry with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
In the WWE SummerSlam 2024 event, Punk is set to take on McIntyre in the ring with Rollins serving as the special guest referee.
