Recent reports indicate that CM Punk may not have been the cause behind Matt Hardy’s exclusion from an AEW Collision taping.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, in its latest edition, reveals that despite earlier claims, Punk was not responsible for barring Hardy from the event. While Hardy was informed that Punk was to blame, those close to Punk have denied his involvement. This sheds new light on the situation and suggests that Punk might not have been the reason behind Hardy’s absence. Dave Meltzer wrote,

“Essentially, in recent weeks, Matt Hardy was booked for a Collision taping but was later told not to go into the building. He was told it was related to CM Punk and while the story was not talked about heavily, it was mentioned as one of those things that happened. Those close to Punk have denied Punk being the reason for this.”

However, CM Punk has nonetheless faced accusations of being involved in instances where performers, including Ryan Nemeth and Christopher Daniels, were not allowed entry into Collision venues.
