AEW’s Miro had his wife CJ Perry convinced that he was part of a backstage fight with CM Punk at All In 2023 inside Wembley Stadium.

At the event, Punk had a genuine fight backstage with Jack Perry and at the time it was rumored that Punk had also been involved in an altercation with Miro.

It was later clarified that Punk and Miro’s ‘altercation’ was clearly a joke between the two and that the two are good friends.

Speaking with “Haus of Wrestling,” Perry recalled finding out about the alleged fight between Punk and her husband, who decided to string her along. She said,

“There’s so many parts of that story that’s outrageous. Well, first thing is, I didn’t know about this story until it was blowing up online. That’s when Miro decided to tell me about it, and I was like, ‘What is happening right now?’ I was like, ‘Why are you picking a fight with him? Why?’

So then for, like, five hours or until that time, he was selling the whole story to me like it was real. Selling it to me like it was all real. I’m like, ‘So, wait, you’re telling me it was a joke?’ He tells me the story of how CM Punk is like, ‘Do you have a problem with me?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah,’ and CM Punk goes, ‘You want to fight?’ Miro goes, ‘Here, or in the ring?’ I’m like, ‘You’re telling me that was a joke?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah.’ I’m like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me right now.’ He’s like, ‘Oh, I forgot you take everything literal, CJ.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m done. I’m literally done.’ So he finds it really funny that I believe everything.”

Perry made her AEW debut at All Out 2023, a week after All In 2023, and has since made a handful of appearances on AEW Collision.

AEW wrestler Miro recently played a prank on his wife CJ Perry, convincing her that he had a backstage fight with CM Punk at the All In 2023 event held at Wembley Stadium. The incident caused quite a stir among fans and wrestling enthusiasts, as it was initially rumored that Punk had also been involved in an altercation with Miro.

However, it was later clarified that the supposed “altercation” between Punk and Miro was nothing more than a joke between the two friends. In an interview with Haus of Wrestling, Perry shared her experience of finding out about the alleged fight and how Miro kept up the charade for hours, making her believe it was real.

Perry revealed that she had no knowledge of the incident until it started gaining traction online. It was then that Miro decided to inform her about it, leaving her bewildered and questioning why he would pick a fight with Punk. Miro continued to sell the story to Perry, making her believe that the fight had indeed taken place.

According to Perry, Miro recounted the story of how Punk approached him and asked if he had a problem. Miro responded affirmatively, and Punk challenged him to a fight. Miro jokingly replied, asking if they should fight there or in the wrestling ring. It was at this point that Perry realized it was all a prank and expressed her disbelief.

Perry humorously mentioned that Miro found it amusing that she believed everything he said. Despite the initial shock, Perry took the prank in good spirits and laughed it off. She made her AEW debut at All Out 2023, just a week after the All In event, and has since made several appearances on AEW Collision.
