Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy have officially began touring again and he wants all of his fans and critics to know that the band is taking every possible precaution to ensure a safe experience.

Jericho continued with his typical Saturday Night Live Stream event last night while on the road with his band and was met with numerous skeptics that told him touring was not a good idea during the pandemic. Fans were packed in attendance, most not wearing any form of mask and not social distancing from one another.

Chris Jericho explained that they had already moved all shows from April & May to July & August, once again delaying them until further in the fall. However, four shows remained on the schedule for August that couldn’t be rescheduled, so they decided to run with it because the shows were in North and South Dakota. Jericho said, “The reason why the shows have happened is because these states of North Dakota and South Dakota have low COVID-19 cases, less than a thousand in both states.”

Jericho reiterated that protocols are in place and none of the venues are being ran at full capacity. Him and his band are staying isolated from all outside parties while away from the stage. He said, “The venues are either outside or they are half-capacity. We are sold out tonight in Minot with, I think, 50% capacity. Last night, we were sold out in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with I think it was 35% capacity. We hand out masks at the door, do temperature checks, all that sort of stuff. We basically just stay on the bus all day and everyone in the Fozzy camp, crew, and band has been tested. Yeah, so that’s kind of how we’re doing it. Everything’s been going good. It’s been so great to be back on stage again.”

There have been a plethora of pictures and videos posted online of the concert, and despite handing out these masks and asking fans to social distance, that seems to be far from what is happening. A few fans feel uneasy about Jericho returning to AEW Dynamite immediately and non self-quarantining even though these states are not on the list of required quarantine.

How do you feel about Chris Jericho touring with his band again despite calls from government officials and fans to postpone all concerts? Let us know in the comments below.
