This earned a response from Jericho himself, who branded the claim he buries WWE as misinformation.

Jericho became AEW’s first World Champion in 2019. He and Kenny Omega currently have an opportunity for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

While Jericho thinks the claim is wrong, he has hit out at WWE. Following Jon Moxley’s AEW debut, Jericho told ESPN that many WWE stars were ready to leave. He said,

“I have heard from a lot of people who are working there saying, ‘I can’t wait to do my version in X amount of months.”

Chris Jericho, one of the most prominent figures in professional wrestling, has recently refuted claims that he has been burying WWE since joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) nearly five years ago. The controversy arose when a fan on Twitter accused Jericho of constantly slagging off WWE and claimed that his podcast, “Talk is Jericho,” is literally burying WWE these days.

In response to the fan’s comment, Jericho dismissed the claim as misinformation. He stated that it was the first time he had ever said anything positive about WWE in an interview and that his podcast does not aim to bury WWE. Jericho’s strong reaction to the accusation highlights his disagreement with the notion that he has been consistently criticizing his former employer.

Since joining AEW, Jericho has achieved significant success. He became the inaugural AEW World Champion in 2019 and has remained a prominent figure in the company ever since. Currently, he and Kenny Omega have an opportunity to compete for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, further solidifying Jericho’s status as a top performer in the promotion.

While Jericho denies burying WWE, he has not shied away from expressing his dissatisfaction with his former employer. Following Jon Moxley’s debut in AEW after leaving WWE, Jericho spoke to ESPN and revealed that many WWE stars were ready to follow suit. He claimed that several individuals working for WWE expressed their desire to create their own version of Moxley’s successful transition to AEW.

As the wrestling industry continues to evolve, fans and critics closely monitor the actions and words of top wrestlers like Chris Jericho. While some may interpret his comments as burying WWE, Jericho himself vehemently denies this accusation.
