Chris Jericho would like to remind fans who want everything straight away that patience is a virtue in the ever-changing world of pro wrestling.

On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Jericho said fans who want everything immediately should sit back and appreciate long-term storylines. He said,

“I think a lot of people … want to know everything all upfront. Just sit back. We do have long-term story ideas and thoughts and plans. … As knowledgeable as fans think they are at times, they still really don’t know.

“That’s how you tell great stories. Some of them are a month long, some of them are six months long, some of them are a year long. That’s just how it goes in wrestling.”

Jericho’s current story sees the veteran hold the FTW Championship and has dubbed himself ‘The Learning Tree.’ Jericho won the title from HOOK at AEW Dynasty.

Chris’ victory was not well-received by fans as Jericho faced a chant encouraging him to retire at AEW’s most recent pay-per-view event.
