In a recent dialogue with TMZ Sports, Chris Jericho opened up about his special affinity for The Learning Tree, which he considers his favorite representation of his wrestling persona.
Below are some notable points from the podcast:
When asked about his favorite phase of ‘Chris Jericho’, he responded, “Folks often inquire about my favorite Chris Jericho era. I invariably respond with ‘the current one – The Learning Tree.’ If it weren’t, I’d have to question why I am participating. Sure, there were several memorable moments, but this particular era resonates with me. I appreciate what is happening now.”
Discussing his wrestling earnings, he noted, “Salaries have ultimately reached to a point where they are nearing what I believe should be the deserving amount for talent across all companies. Unfortunately, many old-school brethren couldn’t cash in. They had to spend their lives on the roads, wrestling 300 days a year, trying to earn whatever they could.”
When asked about his support for the younger talent, he said, “My focus is to always watch out for them and lend a helping hand when possible. Those guys have worked hard and they’ve earned it. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Also included in the interview was Chris Jericho’s discussion on AEW’s growth, his wrestling future, and rumors about Becky Lynch.
