Chris Jericho Leaving, Don Callis Family Accepting New Members, MJF Rejected From Hurt Syndicate, Paragon

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) saw numerous interesting modifications within its factions during the episode aired on April 9, 2025, of AEW Dynamite.

It has now been clarified that the AEW’s trademark name, The Paragon, obtained in January will be utilized by the trio consisting of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong. This announcement was made in a backstage segment:

The Hurt Syndicate members proceeded to a ballot to decide whether Maxwell Jacob Friedman should be allowed into their group. While MVP was in favor, both Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin dismissed the idea.

In another part of the show, The Hurt Syndicate, while in conversation with Alicia Atout, heard Lashley affirm again that they have no need for MJF. However, Benjamin referred to MJF as amusing, and suggested they discuss it with Lashley. MJF subsequently queried MVP about his treatment, who advised MJF to view it as a business strategy, and hinted at possibly persuading the group to accept him.

Don Callis made an off-stage appearance where he shared his prediction about Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita winning their segments of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and competing in the finals, ensuring a victory for the Don Callis Family this year. Apart from this, he made known his plans to recruit new members to replenish the faction which is currently afflicted with injuries.

In the last part of this news report, Chris Jericho is seen in a promotional segment in the ring with Big Bill and Bryan Keith. The Redwood claimed his aim was to gain insights from Jericho instead of being his target. Jericho lays the blame on them for his loss to Bandido, but also expresses faith in them. He asserts that their triumphs are his triumphs too, sharing that he’s not angry but disappointed.

Jericho’s disappointment leads to a fit of rage, during which he destroys parts of his promo set and departs from the arena in a huff, lashing out and thrashing random objects with Floyd (his baseball bat) during his exit.

What are your thoughts on the potential outcomes for these factions? Who would be your picks for The Don Callis Family? Would you separate The Learning Tree? We are keen to hear your ideas, so add them to the comments below!
