Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho was just recently a visitor on WTF with Marc Maron. Throughout his look on the program, the 52-year-old Jericho talked about when he may begin thinking about retiring from in-ring competitors.

Speaking on the program, the 32-year-plus veteran stated the following:

“People state, ‘Well, just how much longer are you going to do this?’ I might end tomorrow, [or] I could end 5 years from now, or who cares? Sting is 63 and still doing excellent things. Who understands, guy? To me, as long as you can still contend at a high level– like I have a high requirement for myself. If I headed out there and 2, 3, 4 times in a row I seemed like, ‘Oof, I’m beginning to f ** king phone this in,’ I would give up.”

Since the time of composing, Chris Jericho is approaching his 100th match in AEW, resting on 81 matches in the business.
