In a recent interview with TV Insider, professional wrestler Chris Jericho mentioned he’s not keen on the idea of having a retirement tour when it’s time for him to step back from the ring. This perspective was specifically commented on as the upcoming retirements of fellow wrestlers Bryan Danielson and John Cena loom.
Jericho’s outlook remains unchanged despite these developments, as he views Danielson and Cena’s situations as unique due to their extended absences from wrestling and other commitments. He expressed his respect for their wrestling prowess but warns against the pressure of adhering to a retirement timeline.
Instead, he explained that he personally prefers focusing on the present and enjoying his performances each week. He does not feel the need for a grand retirement match or tour, also citing other interests like his work with his band Fozzy, his podcast, acting, and cruises.
Meanwhile, Austin and Colten Gunn expressed their ambition to become the greatest tag team of all time during an appearance on the “My Mom’s Basement” podcast. The brothers shared that they have already won notable titles and are now working towards proving themselves as the best in their field.
