During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee Bully Ray shared his perspective on Daniel Garcia’s recent return to AEW Dynamite. Ray felt that the segment could have had a bigger impact.

In the said segment, Garcia revealed his decision to stick with AEW. Ray expressed his belief that the moment could have carried a bigger impact if Garcia presented a contract insinuating it was from WWE, only to tear it apart later.

Ray articulated his idea by saying, “If I were Daniel Garcia, I would march up to that ring gripping a tan envelope. Inside this envelope, I’d have a contract. Then I would reveal to the crowd that the contract was not from AEW but from another wrestling company – a company that I guess they would all recognize. Then, as Garcia, I would tell them that this contract was worth a lot. The contract offered almost twice the amount discussed with Tony Khan and AEW. This idea comes naturally to me. Then Garcia would declare, ‘I’m sticking with AEW!’”

Meanwhile, Chris Jericho, AEW wrestler, in a recent conversation with ComicBook.com was asked about a probable return to WWE in the foreseeable future.

Jericho made it clear that he is relishing his stint in AEW and sees no reason to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Here are some highlights from his podcast:

About a potential return to WWE:I’ve had a great time working there in the past and wouldn’t rule out working there again. But for now, I am completely immersed in AEW, enjoying everything we’ve achieved from day one, especially our new TV deal. We set out to create a change in wrestling history and Tony, I, and the entire team have managed to do exactly that.”

About his commitment to AEW:The success we’ve had tilts the odds in our favor, especially with our new TV deal. We’re here to stay and there’s absolutely no reason for me to go anywhere else. I’m pleased working with the Khan family and AEW.”

It is worth mentioning that Jericho is about to enter the final year of his multi-year contract with AEW.
