On a recent episode of the “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, Hero spoke about his return to WWE NXT and wishes he’d been able to use the Hero name he’d used for years. He said,

“I started back in January 2017 and then I didn’t know until I was going out to make an appearance for the live crowd that I was going to be Kassius Ohno again. I thought I would be Chris Hero and they’re like, ‘Nope! You’re Kassius Ohno.’ I was like, well sh*t.”

In June, it was announced that Hero had signed with All Elite Wrestling as a coach. The following month, it was reported that he was also working with AEW as a producer.
