During AEW Collision in August, Christian Cage was astoundingly seen in a distinctive referee turtleneck. The creation of this one-of-a-kind apparel was discussed by AEW’s in-charge of wardrobe.

Cage donned the turtleneck in his role as the referee for the House of Black vs. Bang Bang Gang confrontation that took place on the 10th of August episode of AEW Collision.

In a recent episode of the podcast, “AEW Unrestricted”, Chris Estell, the clothing manager, unravelled some details about the creation process of the shirt. Estell uncovered that the initial idea for the outfit came from Cage himself.

Estell revealed, “That idea was Christian’s idea. He said, ‘Can you make me a ref shirt?’”

He went on to disclose further, “The biggest compliment from him was that it turned out better than I ever thought it would. I believe that when a talent compliments you like that and you exceed their expectations, it only solidifies that you belong there. So, that was the most atrocious shirt that I’ve ever made and he wore it like a champ.”
