The Beynefit For Bey event, hosted by Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW), occurred at the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday night.
The event was particularly noteworthy as Chris Bey made an appearance walking to the ring, a feat particularly impressive given that Bey had been paralyzed last year due to a severe injury sustained during a TNA iMPACT! taping. Doctors had predicted only a 10-25% chance of him ever walking again.
After the event, Bey took to Twitter to share his heartfelt gratitude and love for his fans and fellow performers.
He shared, “Incredible moments from last night will forever remain etched in my memory. The show hosted wrestlers from every company and showcased talent from around the globe.”He thanked viewers who tuned in on @Triller_TV @FSWVegas, adding,“We’re a wrestling family. I love you all.”
In a subsequent post, Bey expressed how grateful he was to have some of wrestling’s best performers on the #BEYnefitforBEY show, noting, “Saying “thank you” doesn’t seem enough. Observing unity in action is truly remarkable.Love and unity can indeed overcome all.”
Bey shared a special moment with Karrion Kross in the ring during the Beynefit For Bey event. Following Kross’ victory over Hammerstone in the main event, Bey joined him in the ring for a heartfelt embrace.
CMLL announced that Mistico, the MLW World Middleweight Champion who most recently competed at Eventos Kalakistico on March 22, will be out of action for two weeks due to an injury.
At the upcoming Dynasty 2025 event, Mike Bailey is slated to compete for the AEW International Title against Kenny Omega and Ricochet. Despite the triple threat showdown, Bailey stated in a new vlog that he’s still keen on a one-on-one match with Omega.
Bailey affirmed, “I’m not getting my desired match yet i.e. a face-off with Kenny Omega. But at Dynasty, it’ll be a heat between Speedball Mike Bailey, Ricochet, and Kenny Omega.”
He added, “First I need to win the International Championship at Dynasty. Then I’ll defend it in a singles match against Kenny Omega. It’s part of a long journey but one that’s totally worth it.”
