Chelsea Green left her indelible mark in WWE history books by defeating Michin and clinching the first-ever WWE Women’s United States title. The title bout took place at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event last December.
In a recent interaction with the “Lightweights” podcast, Chelsea took a trip down memory lane recalling her historic triumph.
Here are some excerpts from the podcast:
About her stint as the US Champion: “Losing the title still feels surreal. Despite the brief match duration of seven minutes, the crowd never ceased chanting my name. I have reached that phase in my career where I can perceive all the activity around me– the cheers, the signs, the reactions.”
About crowd support: “Believe me, it’s no mean feat to be able to observe and process these things while executing a wrestling match. It was clear that the audience favored me for the win. When victory was mine, the exploding cheers and the excitement in the stands are a testimony to how ardently they wanted me to win. Even if nothing noteworthy ever happens in my career henceforth, this moment will forever fill me with contentment.”
In another recent podcast interaction, this time with “Gabby AF,” TNA wrestler Mike Santana revealed his reactions to Trick Williams’ victorious run, snatching the TNA World Title from Joe Hendry at the NXT Battleground event in May 2025.
Here are some snippets from the podcast:
About Trick Williams’ TNA World Title win: “I was in the company of some production staff, backstage in a small room, watching Trick lift the title. I distinctly remember clicking a photograph of myself watching the TV. I was certain at that moment itself that I have to retrieve the title.”
On his inclination to restore TNA’s glory: “Naturally, I was disillusioned. But more than anything, I felt motivated to do this for myself and for the brand that has given me so much. And I knew then, that was just the beginning, the start of the real hard work.”
