Professional wrestler, Chelsea Green has revealed her bold intentions to overhaul the WWE Women’s Championship if she secures the Money in the Bank briefcase in the forthcoming month.
In the most recent episode of WWE SmackDown, Green triumphed over competitors Bianca Belair and Mia Yim, known as ‘Michin’, cementing her place in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Confident in her impending victory, Green took to Twitter to share both her certainty to claim the WWE Women’s Title and her strategies to restore the Divas Championship.
“When I win I’m starting a petition to change the @WWE Womens Championship back to the Divas Championship,” Green tweeted.
The WWE Divas Championship was conceived in 2008 as a distinction for the female segment of SmackDown, with Michelle McCool being its inaugural holder.
The title, along with the term ‘Diva’, was retired in 2016 when Charlotte Flair held the championship for the last time before it shifted into the current WWE Women’s Championship. However, Green seems determined to bring back the old honors if her plans unfold as expected.
