In a recent interaction with Sportskeeda Wrestling ahead of the WWE Money in the Bank 2024 event, WWE Superstar Chelsea Green broke her silence on the wrestlers she aspires to compete against outside the WWE ring, the possible return of Matt Cardona, and much more.
Here are some key takeaways from the insightful interview:
When asked about non-WWE wrestlers she wishes to face, Green stated: “One thing to note is that I have faced most of these female wrestlers who are here. From Asuka, once known as Kana, IYO, Kairi, to Giulia, all these incredible Japanese wrestlers have now joined WWE. Yet, Mayu Iwatani from STARDOM, with whom I have had bouts in the past, isn’t here. That could be an intriguing match-up. Moreover, Momo Watanabe’s talent is unmatched. Therefore, I believe the list could go on. If one were to study all the Japanese wrestling entities presently, I could potentially name 50 competitors. Japan is home to an impressive array of talented female wrestlers.”
On the subject of Matt Cardona making a comeback to WWE, Green expressed: “While I am uncertain if we would be on the same team, let’s not rush into decisions. I am not certain of the possibilities. However, I would obviously be delighted to see him making a return. My ultimate desire would be to see him reuniting with Steph [De Lander] to recreate the GCW shtick. Yet, I wouldn’t mind accepting him as my tag team partner if a situation demands.”
