Chelsea Green, the WWE Women’s United States Champion, recently spoke at a NASCAR press conference event at the Pennzoil 400. She shared her perspective about the increasing recognition and enthusiasm for the Women’s United States Championship, thanks to her contribution. Discussing her championship reign, Green expressed, “I just hit 90 days as the first ever, longest-reigning United States Women’s Champion. This goes to show the progress women in sports have made. We witnessed a resurgence of women in sports in 2024, filling up stadiums in WNBA, rugby, soccer and other sports.”
On the subject of the growing popularity of women’s sports, she added, “The Women’s Championship is proof that we can draw big crowds, host pay-per-views and break barriers. That’s why this championship is personally significant to me.”

Reflecting on the changing dynamics of women’s sports, Green observed, “Women in sports are in a unique period right now, observing the soaring popularity of the WNBA, the success of national soccer teams, and women headlining WrestleMania. We even have a new intercontinental and United States title coming up.”
Discussing her plans on showcasing her title in Las Vegas, Green said, “It’s an amazing time for women. I hope to uphold the reputation of women in sports by presenting this title in Las Vegas on 19th and 20th of April and showing the world why we deserved it. I’m really excited for that.”
Green then spoke about Samantha Irvin’s introduction of her in the wrestling ring. “I always enjoy that and it never grows old. I’m grateful to Samantha for making my entrance so memorable. It gives me all sorts of feelings, which is what wrestling is all about.”
