Charlotte Flair Reportedly Taking Time Off From WWE

Charlotte Flair lost the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title to Rhea Ripley in the second to last match at WWE WrestleMania 39 (Night One).

PWInsiderElite.com reports Flair will be taking time off from WWE.

“We are told that Flair informed WWE she would be taking a break from the company over Wrestlemania 39 weekend. WWE’s creative plans for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, moving it to Rhea Ripley, were locked in place before Flair told WWE she would be taking a break.”

Per the report, Flair is not expected to appear at Friday’s SmackDown and she told people backstage that she and her husband, Andrade, were going to travel.  

It’s unclear how long the hiatus will be.
