Charlotte Flair On Empty Arena Shows
Shortly before WWE WrestleMania 36, Don Saladino and Zack Zeigler of Muscle & Fitness interviewed Charlotte Flair, who discussed her experience wrestling in an empty arena. “Just because there is no audience, you have to remember that every year there’s millions watching at home. And to me, yes, the situation is not ideal because I feel like the audience is very much part of the show as a whole, but to me, I go, this is such a huge opportunity to show people your true talent, that you don’t need an audience to dig deep with those emotions and take the viewers at home on a roller coaster and just how physical it is, and if you can do that as a performer, knowing that our story is usually based on live audiences, I mean not based but obviously we feed off the crowd, I think it makes for a unique situation and certain people will stand out and others won’t.”
Flair also discussed her feelings about wrestling during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I never felt not safe or that the company wasn’t taking care of me but I mean everyone’s decision, I respect to the fullest. And I believe the company does, too.”
Kofi Kingston Reflects On WrestleMania 36
At WrestleMania 36, Kofi Kingston competed in a ladder match where he hit several impressive moves, including a diving stomp off one ladder. Kingston’s opponents, Jimmy Uso and John Morrison, similarly risked their bodies, so, after the match, Kingston gave them a shout-out in a tweet. The former WWE Champion also said that, when it’s all said and done, he’ll still remember WrestleMania 36.
This #wrestlemania is so different than any other, but I’m still extremely proud to be involved. When all this craziness passes over, I’ll undoubtedly remember this one for so many reasons, lol. Shout out to Jim @WWEUsos and @TheRealMorrison. We will battle again…
