Jon Moxley successfully defended his AEW World Championship title against Orange Cassidy in AEW Full Gear 2024’s main event, continuing his reign. Despite being injured early in the match, Cassidy managed to fight back, dominating the match for a while with a series of powerful attacks.
However, disruptions from the Death Riders led The Conglomeration to intervene. Cassidy’s victory chances were further thwarted when Wheeler Yuta launched a kneestrike, setting up Moxley to execute the deciding Death Rider. This move allowed Moxley to clinch the win with a three-count.
Post-match, a chaotic scene unfolded, with antagonists choking Cassidy using a cleaner. Hangman Page then made an appearance to help, cueing Christian Cage to attempt to cash in his World Title shot. However, this was foiled by Jay White, with the Death Riders ambushing him later. When Moxley’s group tried to escape backstage, they were met with a vehicular crash, but they managed to nab another vehicle and flee. A battered Darby Allin emerged as the driver, demanding a rematch.
