The ongoing feud between Robert Stone and Stevie Turner takes a fresh turn as they introduce new recruits to the NXT roster this week.
In an offstage scene, Cedric Alexander was seen departing from Ava’s office, in company with Turner. Ava stirred a conversation with Stone, revealing that Alexander is now a part of the NXT roster.
Stone, quick to come up with a countermove, brought to the forefront Ashante “Thee” Adonis, who he had summoned for a meeting with Ava.
While there is no explicit approval yet that Adonis is now a member of the NXT brand, it is highly likely considering WWE wouldn’t create this scenario just for a surprising twist without leading to the same conclusion.
It’s noteworthy to mention that an alliance between Adonis and Alexander was hinted at five months ago on SmackDown, though they only participated in a handful of non-televised matches and had no on-screen appearance together.
Is their future as a tag team, or will they decide to pursue individual paths? What are your thoughts on the likelihood of either or both gaining greater success in NXT, after being relatively inconspicuous on the main roster? Share your thoughts and forecasts in the comments section below!
