Cary Silkin, previously owner of Ring of Honor, recently clarified some comments initially made about the ROH brand under Tony Khan’s leadership. He stated that despite his indifference about the brand’s current treatment, he acknowledges Khan’s hard work and well-intentioned motives. Silkin also advised that utilization of legacy names would be beneficial, ultimately expressing positivity about the future under Khan’s management.
On the “WrestleMobs” podcast, Silkin clarified his previous statement, commenting, “It’s unbelievable how that quote got picked up. What they left out, if you listen to the show, I also said, ‘Hey, I’m happy everyone’s got a place to work.'”
Meanwhile, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) has confirmed Kylie Paige’s exclusive contract. Paige, a former NWA Women’s World Tag Team Champion, is now part of the NWA Powerrr and the company’s Signature Live Events. COO Joe Galli said the inclusion of Kylie, already a promising star, adds to the foundation of the National Wrestling Alliance.
Lastly, the new PROGRESS World Champion is Luke Jacobs, who triumphed over Kid Lykos at the Chapter 169: The Devil On My Shoulder event. Jacobs’ first run with the title begins as Lykos concludes his reign after 155 days.
