The tables have turned in the ongoing rivalry between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade, with Hayes securing a pinfall against El Idolo during the recent airing of Friday Night SmackDown.
Prior to the face-off, backstage scenes showed Andrade, who extended a handshake to United States champion LA Knight following their previous match, confronting Knight for opting for a fist bump instead. Andrade let Knight know that he had lost his respect for him. Knight was soon after taken by surprise when Hayes attacked him, setting the stage for the contentious match.

Post a brief commercial interruption, Andrade and Hayes resumed their intense rivalry in what marked their series’ sixth match. Despite a predominantly balanced clash, Knight made his presence felt causing a diversion that ultimately benefitted Hayes who managed a roll-up. This event saw Hayes equalize their ongoing series at 3-3.

Clearly upset with Knight’s role in the match outcome, Andrade rebuffed a remorseful handshake offer from Knight. In a role reversal, an irked Andrade walked away, leaving Knight hanging.
