Carmelo Hayes – ‘I’m Glad It Wasn’t Brock Lesnar Who Ambushed Me’

Carmelo Hayes defeated Noam Dar to retain the NXT World Championship in the main event of WWE NXT last night. Following the match Baron Corbin attacked Hayes, laid him out with the End of Days, and posed with the title.

Hayes later took to Twitter to address the surprise attack. It appears Hayes is relieved that at least it wasn’t Brock Lesnar who ambushed him last night. He wrote,

“At least it wasn’t Brock…”

Hayes defeated Bron Breakker to retain the NXT Title this past weekend at NXT Battleground.
