Carmelo Hayes, a rising star in the wrestling world, is reportedly learning how to handle backstage confrontations from the seasoned professional, RAW Superstar CM Punk.
On the recent installment of WWE SmackDown, tension arose between Hayes and Cody Rhodes in a backstage segment. This followed directly after the WWE Champion’s segment with Kevin Owens.
Social media was buzzing with Hayes’ update about a particular encounter he had with Punk at SmackDown. He claims that Punk shared some invaluable advice about how to come out on top in backstage arguments.
Hayes took to Twitter to share: “Ran into Cm Punk. Just gave me the best advice to never lose a backstage fight again #SmackDown.”
Punk, a wrestling icon, made headlines when he was involved in two controversies backstage during his tenure with AEW, leading to his dismissal in September 2023.
However, his return to WWE in November 2023 has seen overwhelmingly positive reports regarding his behavior with fellow Superstars.
Punk recently returned from his break on SmackDown as the unexpected fifth man for Team OG Bloodline. This team is set to compete against Team New Bloodline in the WarGames at the upcoming Survivor Series.
