WWE Superstar Carmelo Hayes recently sat down with Shakiel Mahjouri for an interview on SHAK Wrestling. Among the topics discussed, Hayes revealed his thoughts on the barber he recommended to fellow WWE performer Lexis King.
As some may remember from a few months back, King mentioned that Hayes introduced him to his Orlando-based barber. Hayes’ recommendation has become a talking point due to the significant changes to King’s appearance.
Expanding on his decision to recommend the barber, Hayes said, “He’s not my personal barber, but he’s an excellent professional who owns numerous shops in the Orlando area. He’s highly respected. Lexis asked for a barber, and I suggested him. The choice of beard is up to him, but we’ve all been customers of this barber without any unpleasant experiences. Except for the incident with Lexis, of course.”
Hayes also commented on King’s controversial new look. He expressed respect for his commitment and noted that the controversy was aligning with the intended goal. “It’s a bold look, but he’s committed, and it seems to work. People dislike it, which is a bit of what he’s trying to achieve.”
WWE NXT World Champion Trick Williams, a fellow interviewee, shared his journey to WWE and his thoughts on his upcoming Fatal 4-Way match at this Sunday night’s WWE NXT: Heatwave pay-per-view event with the Toronto Sun.
Williams revealed that he first learned of WWE when he started quoting Steve Austin’s catchphrase at the age of three. His journey to WWE took a turn when his agent forwarded his details to WWE, leading to an unexpected tryout offer.
Williams admitted that his upcoming match is a challenging one, yet he doesn’t lack confidence. “The odds may be stacked against me, but I perform best under pressure. I’ll continue to strive until I achieve my goal,” he stated.
