The sexual assault lawsuit against WWE star Matt Riddle has reportedly been dropped.

A report from TMZ Sports states that Samantha Tavel, also known as Candy Cartwright, filed for the dismissal of the lawsuit on Monday.

Per TMZ Sports, Tavel’s attorney, John Chwarzynski, made it clear that his client and Riddle are ready to move on from the matter. Matt Riddle’s attorneys have not respond to TMZ’s request for a comment as of this writing.

Tavel filed the lawsuit, which also included EVOLVE Wrestling, Gabe Sapolsky and, at the time, WWE, this past October. Riddle unsuccessfully attempted to dismiss the lawsuit, and WWE and Sapolsky were removed from the matter in March.

In October 2020, Tavel filed a lawsuit against EVOLVE Wrestling, Gabe Sapolsky, Riddle, and World Wrestling Entertainment, seeking 10 million dollars from each defendant. WWE and Sapolsky were dismissed from the lawsuit in March 2021, but Riddle’s attempt to dismiss was denied. The lawsuit was based around Tavel’s allegation that Riddle sexually assaulted her in April 2017 and boasted about it to Sapolsky, who owned EVOLVE Wrestling at the time. Riddle has denied these allegations, though he confirmed his relationship with Tavel.
