On a recent episode of the popular podcast “Busted Open Radio”, conversations arose surrounding WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer examining the course AEW has set for Christian Cage.
Ray expressed, “I have been a believer, or it has been my opinion, that Christian is grossly underutilized in AEW.”
Dreamer also contributed to the conversation, stating, “If I’m comparing apples to oranges, he wasn’t used in WWE. So, when he is in AEW, he’s being utilized. Could he, and should he, be the top guy of that company as a heel? Absolutely. But he’s on TV. And all of his matches and segments are good.”
In a noteworthy event, Cage took a chance and redeemed his title shot contract during AEW Revolution 2025 but failed in unseating reigning AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.
