In the latest episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee Bully Ray chimed in on his recent comments about All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and clarified his stance stating he wishes to see Tony Khan’s organization continue to progress and thrive.
Here are a few standout points from the conversation in the podcast:
On Hyping up for AEW’s Success: Bully Ray expressed, “The significant majority of people who make their livelihood in professional wrestling aspire for AEW to achieve success, and they’re not moving heaven and earth to halt its progress. Most of us — like I do— yearn to see it prosper across all dimensions.”
On AEW providing income for many: He stated, “Numerous people are now affiliated with AEW, be it experienced players or new entrants, who would not have an alternative of joining WWE if it wasn’t for AEW’s existence.”
On expressing gratitude for AEW: “Honestly, I owe a debt of gratitude to AEW. Indeed, I do! You see, I went there, had a pleasant time, albeit there were not-so-good days — disagreements with people and so forth, but for the most part I learned and seized the opportunity to partake in activities which WWE never offered me.”
On his opinion that Tony Khan is diverting attention from inner disputes: He suggested, “It’s quite easy to stir up your fanbase or dressing room by proclaiming ‘Everyone loathes us, we’re up against the world!’”
